There is a hidden Algarve, were in amongts the beautiful landscape, warm weather and outstanding beaches, you can also find hundreds of different bird species, without traveling for miles. The Algarve is the place where you can easily find hoopoes and azure-winged magpie in your backyard with a stork nesting on top of the old building next door.

Join us on a day dedicated to birding in Algarve. In the Ria Formosa and Castro Marim you can add to your sightings list the Golden plover, Kentish plover, Little terns, Caspian tern or even the Audouin’s gull. On the fresh water lagoons, the Purple gallinule is the highlight of our day and the tour for the west coast gives you excellent views of red billed chough, shearwaters and gannets.
